guys...I lowered the bike by 1 inch by installing the HD lowering kit on my 06 WG. Problem...rides funny. Wallows/sways..I dont know the right word to describe. I dont remembering it doing that prior to the change. I adjusted the preload...same. Anyone have the same problem?? Oh and I got my Stripper seat this WE. Nice. I will snap a pic and post.
This might sound stupid-but check your tire pressure. Also one of my thoughts-the lowered shocks might be stiffer than the stock ones, and it might be you need to change the front fork oil to alittle heavier????
Dude...i feel like an a$$, but you are so right....never neglect your tires....front tire at 15psi....rear at 30. Lesson learned. Oh and it rides much better now!
Here's a pic of a Street Bob lowered. The lowest stance can be achieved with heavy duty shocks set at the lightest setting but it'll ride like a rigid frame.
