I have softail forward controls and with a simple fab mount the previews owner mount it on my Dyna. Has anyone done a proper mont for this convertion?

 

There are several of us who are using Softail floorboards ... the mounting method should be the same for pegs ....

On mine, I used an extension kit and just drilled and countersunk one hole to align to the Dyna frame ....

A couple of others who've done it I can think of offhand are ackman1968 and U234 ... I don't have time to look up the link just now, but if you do a search of threads I've started, I posted some photos of my setup ....

Softail forwards on a Dyna? Why would you want to do this anyway?
If it came this way from a previous owner, and its working let it be.
A 'proper mount' if indeed there is one availabe, would likely cost more that a kit made for your Dyna....
AS SURFOR chop pointed out, there are many of us who put Softail or RK style Boards on our Dyna's, but why controls?
These below were fabed using the peg mounts.

I stand corrected I do see some have used Softtail controll parts as well for their Board mounts.. Sorry.

Why put softail forwards on a Dyna... because those where the ones that he got at the time (in the 90's there wasn't that many parts for Dynas as you can find now... expecially in the middle of the caribbean!) and to be honest I dont want to change them.

The reason I ask is because the bolt that goes from inside out that the peg screws on broke on saturday and I have to take the hole right side forward control to put another in... and I just wanted to see if there was an easier way.
