Well if you do move down to Alabama, it won't be but a little over half a days run to head on over that way for some fun runs along the gulf, or up through the pines.
Glad you are getting to move. I was stationed in Ft Benning and I hated the armpit of georgia. Yes it is hot as hell and mostly the local people are uneducated. Very high crime rate in columbus ga which is on the border of alabama. Here is a good way to check out the education of the surrounding area. Check out the craigs list postings, pay close attention to the electronics area. If people cant get two words spelled right or they sound like there straight out of the getto, you will know what your gonna get yourself into.
ya moving!!!! man i am headed up to michigan on a snowmobile trip next week hahahaha... man good luck on the move brother sounds like a great opertunity! jelous of the year round ride!
Look at it this way jobs are hard to find and your cost of living will be a lot less in Alabama then they are in Michigan so your increase in pay will be just that a increase and not just to bring you up to the cost of living.
Kids can adjust and leaving your parents is tough but you have to do what you feel is best for you and your family in the long run.
Well if this helps out any its 73 degrees here right now and ive been riding, dont even need a jacket. I'll take the hot and humid over 3 feet of snow anyday.
To solve the parent problem, get them both webcams and teach them to use them. That way you can video chat for Birthdays, Christmas, etc...and they get to see the grandkids open their presents.
Now that that is out of the way, run out of there and don't look back!
