I had a friend that owned a Wide Glide. He lowered the front fender. We were riding Interstate 95 N in Melbourne FL. Well, the next thing you know he is tumbling down the highway doing 70 mph. A small piece of wood lodged in between the front tire and the front fender. It was not a pretty sight.

Mine rides great and I like how it looks. A little more stable, easier on rough surfaces, seems to corner better. Lot of positives, no drawbacks that I can think of. On a related note, one of my winter projects is to install a skirted fender.

I didn't like the look of the stock front fender so I traded it out all together and modified and aftermarket fender.

My friend is fine. Very lucky though. It was a cold day in FL and we all had our leathers on and he was wearing a helmet. That day!
