Default FXDX Wheel options?
In the future I would like to put some different wheels on the scoot. Want to keep the stock size, just want to go with something black and not laced. I have the stock FXDX laced wheel options. I would love to find a set of stock mags and have them powdered.

If I can't find the stock mags, is there anything special I need to look for in wheels to accommodate the dual disc brake setup of the FXDX?

It's funny that the laced wheels were an "upgrade" when to me at least they are a serious "downgrade". The stock 13 spokers are pretty plentiful and look great either powdered or polished/chromed. I think sportster axles and brngs are diff sized, but dimensionally they are the same wheel, not sure about the axle and brng thing either. They are all usually dual drilled like the dyna mags for dual discs too. Put an ad on craigs or here wanting to swap, lots of people love laces so you may luck out

So any of the dyna mags will fit the FXDX dual discs?

05 and back I know, how far I'm not certain. Safely I'd say at least 98-05 if ya can fine some

I know for sure the 04/05 model years have a 1" axle. Don't know about the ones before it.

I have the orignal 13 spoke mags and when I get home in August, I'm swapping them out for thunderstar wheels if you want mine make me an offer otherwise I will post them on eBay

I have Hd five spoke wheels (see pic). I like them, but plan on getting them powdercoated black this winter.

The 03' And earlier use a 3/4" axle. I have an 01' with the mags and would prefer spokes. I know it has been a while since you posted this, but let me know if you want to do a trade.
