Default Cam cover mod
Decided it was time to lose the useless cone on the cam cover, so a little milling and TIG welding followed by lots of cleanup and polishing.
Still need to do some touch up TIG work, but I am very happy with the progress so far.

The cones not useless; it looks like ignition stuff should be under there, and it lets the MoCo sell a bunch of covers....like what you did with it, though.....I couldn't stand it either!

Yeah mines "home-made" too...used an old oil level inspection cover from a gas compressor at work...JB'd it all smooth and had it powdercoated to match my black engine

Looks better. I'm surprised that since they went all electronic on these bikes that they still have the place where the points used to be.
