Boots look good and got great reviews. Shouldn't be a problem shifting and if you find that it's tight getting your toe under the shift lever, you can easily adjust the shift lever height up a bit.

or at least something like them. I wonder, though, if there's going to be a problem getting my toe under the shift lever. Anyone have boots like this? Any problems shifting?

I get a couple pairs of these brand new every couple of years. For Free.

They look pretty close to my GoreTex boots that I wear while in my cammies. I have no problem shifting with them.

I have to pay for mine. My flight boots were issue but were junk. The boots we got at OCS fell apart...

Especially so with footwear, you get what you pay for. These will probably be okay if you don't walk in them much. I had a few pair of cheap boots in my younger days, these old feet can't take it anymore. You need to pamper your feet.....unless you can walk on your hands. I put the HD boots in the cheap class as well, they just cost more because of the emblems.

Really, if you have fed taxes taken out of your check then you are paying for them and I bet they charge us up the *** for them too.

To the OP, I would be concerned with the zipper scratching up the case or primary cover, etc.

I had Xelement harness boots until I broke my leg and the left one was cut off. Never had a problem shifting once I adjusted the lever. I just got these to replace them http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Moto...ots/50219.html
Bike is still being repaired, but have worn them around the house and very happy so far.
