Default Boot Question

I'm thinking of getting these boots:

http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Moto...oot/42041.html

or at least something like them. I wonder, though, if there's going to be a problem getting my toe under the shift lever. Anyone have boots like this? Any problems shifting?

I'm not a fan of laced boots for riding, but that's just my taste. I had a pair of Frye belted harness boots which I loved but were brown. Got a black pair of Xelement harness boots which have been great so far.

Fat soles make it for harder shifting.

Ive always worn H&H Wellington Slip ons.

Just because they have a rugged flat sole.
Ive had this same pair since 2000, with one resole.

A laced boot is always better. I have combat boots I use when the weather is nasty.

I opted for the Leather Up Engineers boots...1st pair I ordered were short like the boots you are looking at and my leg got hot a few times from the pipes and the Derby cover when stopped.

Bought a second pair with the taller shaft and no issues now.

Be sure to read the reviews as some boots seems to run tight or small and others about right to size.

If it's a tight fit under the shift lever, you can always adjust it so you can get your boot under it.

That's what I had to do when I got my Chippewa Super Loggers. Love the boots though!

I prefer riding in skate shoes, but when I do wear boots I wear Dr. Martin steel toe. Never have any problem shifting.

I like MILSpec Boots, I got the Bates gortex from BassPro. I cant do mail order boots due to wide feet. I like the side zippers and the gortex liner. Looks like the leather up boots got a lot more rubber under them.
