I had the 11 inch progressive 412s heavy duty and the progressive front lowering kit, not the drop in. I loved it, bike was very tight and handled great. People will always comment on why lower and that it will make your bike handle like crap but i didnt buy a harley to race throught the turns. I had my 06 street bob for 3 years and loved it sucked to the ground, i rode it hard and it still handled pretty decent for how low it was.
A question for anybody that has used a drop in kit, since you dont change the fork oil did you find the front end to still be rather soft. Just wondering cause when i get my new wide glide home i will be dropping it and dont want to be putting in the drop in kit then find the front soft and have to pull it apart to change the oil... Thanks

when you put the progressive springs in.. be sure to switch fork oil to screaming eagle heavy weight oil. it helps with brake dive and rebound

The forks will have to be pulled from the trees in order to drain , correct? I have the service manual but I'm at the office right now.

On my 06 you had to take the fork out to drain the oil, do the newer models have a drain at the bottom of the fork legs? If they dont then its pretty much pointless getting the drop in kit if i want to change oil as well.

I did the burly slammer kit and changed the fork fluid. Put the stock amount it. 26.6oz but it still rides like a$$. The forks barley move. Where do you recommend the fluid level should be.
