Default 1 Year on the Street Bob

And I love this bike.
By Feb 26 I will have put 12,000 miles on my bike. Service intervals at 800, 1500, 2500, 5000 miles. Ready for the 10,000 service.

Mods: I have a SEPST, Stage 1 AC, 1031 Thunderheader (black), Stock exhaust modded to run Cycle Shack Dyna Baffles, Adjustable Highway Pegs, 2" Loner Industries risers, Exchanged solo seat for a Fat Bob seat, and a rattle can black horn cover, also a chrome horn cover as well.
I have bought a Biker Friendly bag, and it is great for long trips, and for weekend packing.

Bought the bike new, and have had 2 warranty issues. A cracked rear fender due to viration, and a solo seat mount (plastic) fail.

I have recently found two great cleaners for my whip. 1) Pig Spit. Awesome stuff. Workes great with little mess. 2) SemiChrime aluminum polich paste. This stuff is amazing.
I have a 30T pulley on the way, and I am thinking about putting on 103 jugs for now, and later add a 204/Andrews 37H cam. Havent decided, but I am really looking forward to installing the 204s. I think the Thunder Header wil be going back on when the build is complete.

Thanks to everyone for the help, when help was needed needed. I am sure you will be seeing a lot more from me when I rig, and I am ready to install.

Congrats. The MSF says a vast majority of accidents happens within the first year of a new bike purchase/major mod. The claim it is due to the time it takes you to get used to the "new" bike. It also sounds like you ride a decent amount. I can only get about 6K a year due to other commitments.

Good to hear. I love mine. Wouldn't trade it for any other bike.

Ha Ha..

Here it is after its last sweat session wearing the crappy cover. It now wears a king size sheet, with a full covering the tank/seat/rear fender.
It got wet because the weather went from 30 degrees to 60 degress with rain in like 3 hours while I was at work.. Humidity just took over.. I am torn on the build I want to do after the warranty. I know I want a 103 or 107. Probably go with a 103, 30T pulley, and 204 or Andrews 37H cams. That will be over a year from now though. She is riding good, and she and I have a pretty good relation. I know she likes the higher revs. She gets mad at me if I try to baby her. If you run her hard, but not wild she is at her best.

cruise @ 55 in 4th, 60 loves 4th or 5th, but 6th is around 73 mph, and anthing below 45 is 3rd gear. A buddy with a stock Fat Bob 2009 model says he cannot do that with his bike. His doesn't like to be ridden like that. I guess they really do have there own personalities. I know when he rode my bike he was really surprised how the bike just took you to the power range it wanted to ride in. His stock bike is strictly like the book for shifting. I guess that is the way he broke it in maybe. Like I said, I am not wild on the bike, but I do let her have fun.

Ain't that the truth, I started riding at fifteen, 78 FLH (which i still have) I'm 31 now, and my first major accident was the first year I had mine. 3 accidents later I'm still here. I bought my FXD new in November 09. I've managed to put 17000 on mine to date. Funny thing is that my wife has pics of me riding it home from the stealership in a full leg cast I had cut at the knee so I could bend my leg and a brace for my collar bone. Just remember if you're new to riding, its not a matter of "if", its a matter of "when". And when that time comes, when you are able to mount that horse again, go for it, don't wait, because then you may never ride again.

This isn't my first bike. It is my first Harley. I am ready for some upgrades to the motor, but not willing to throw away warranty money to do so at this time. Come Feb 2012 all bets are off, and I will be bumping the motor up some. I just have to keep telling my self reliability not drag racing when it come time to do the upgrades.
Hell. Come Feb 2012 if the bike is still going good. I might just decide to wait a little longer. If it is getting me to work and back, and is still fun for me. I might not take it down, and risk it.

There's a ton of stuff you can do that'll still be covered under your warranty, as long as the dealer does them. Say like a 103ci kit for example.
