I have a 07 Street Bob and a design in mind but i have to do things in stages because i am not rich lol so here it goes. My bike is gloss black i have bought 14 in Flanders apes and powered them the same textured black as the motor , black forward controls , and a black battery cover so heres my question i want to powered my rims , horn cover , the end cap of my heavy breather , sturts, and the springs on my shocks O.D. green the rest of the shocks, hubs on my rims gloss black , and the spokes chrome. pin striping O.D green. so here is my question it has been said that more than 3 colors is to much is what i want to do too much? Do you think it will look good? i know the second question is subjective .

It sounds like it would be a good looking combination. Technically, black is a color but it's like a neutral one, it goes with almost everything. Personally I like the OD green and there's nothing wrong with putting a little (or a lot) of chrome on a Harley.
We will be expecting pics, of course.
doing the ring and the hub in a diff color looks pieced togetehr i have done them for customers and ended up re doing them when they saw it together, looks parted together, on your springs man i would not do them in the green they are too strong of colors (the black and green) i would do the black, wiht the green on there it is just too much, exp if you are goin to do the struts
i would do the rims in OD green and the hubs and the spokes in gloss black, do the bars in gloss there is no other texture black on the upper side of the bike that matches the motor so the bars will look out of place.
that is what i would do if i was in your shoes... let me know if you need a coater for those parts i would love to help you out making your vision flow together into a sharp scoot!
to give you an idea here is a set of wheels we did the opposite of what i sugested but gives you an idea
not telling you what to do man just giving ideas i do this every day and work with colors all the time man, can invision them pretty well
