So, I had ACL reconstruction this week and now I am off the bike for 10-12 weeks.....SUCKS!!! Especially since it was almost 70 degrees today. Everybody be safe and enjoy one for me....
Your 10-12 weeks is a little less than what us people up north are having to endure. I haven't been riding since early December, and that was just to fill up the tank for the fuel stabilizer. I figure it won't be until mid-to-late March until I ride again.
get better, but your not going to get too much support on the no riding for 12 weeks, too bad it was for knee surgery and hopefully it gets better soon.. I haven't ridden since NOV. Its winter.
I had arthroscopy done on my left knee first week of January. Finally able to swing my leg over the bike and took her for a ride yesterday. Upper 50's and roads covered in sand and salt...
I just had knee surgery myself, dont let the doctor scare you, I would be riding way before then, its not like your going to be jumping or anything crazy.

Which procedure did you have done? did they use part of you own achilles (or other tendon) to repair the ACL or did they use a cadaver doner?
I had mine done with a cadaver on my right knee and was feeling good enough to ride in about 6 to 8 weeks.
That sucks alright but better now than the spring. Like Utah said havent rode since Nov with another f..n Noreaster on the way next week.Ugh Well at least its warm down there its going to be less than 10 degrees tonight. Feel better and good luck
