backup tire
I wouldn't buy a backup tire.
Something I learned at the stealer when I traded in my last bike.
I had purchased 2 new metzlers and had the mechanic mount and balance them.
7 months later I'm in to trade it and they say that the tires were weather cracked! I couldn't believe it.
Well they checked the date of mfg of both Metzlers and one was less than a year old and the other was 2 years old.
So if tires go bad that fast I would just wait till you needed a new one.
buying online you really don't know when the tire was manufactured.
The number on the tire shows the month and year of Mfg.
