Finally installed 4 1/2 " risers....
I finally installed 4 1/2'" pull back risers on my '08 FXDC. I have been wanting to do this for quite a while. I talked to numerous HD mechanics, indys, and other owners about the need for needing more wire and cables. The majority said I would need extra wire and cables, including all the HD mechanics and parts people. Wrong! The risers went on with no problems and there was plenty of wire and cables. Fit perfectly and I wish I had made the change sooner. What a difference they make.

I ended up opening a Photobucket account then using their link information to post here. As for a step by step direction I am not your guys, muddled my way through lol - I think if you search there is a thread around here somewhere that has the directions on how to do it, hope this helps

I got the risers for J & P Cycles (part # 5000742) for $49.99. HD has the same riser for $120, but they aluminum billet verses J & P's forged aluminum. J & P's quality does appear to be very good.
