Drove her for the first time today (Got my learners permit a few days ago) Getting up to speed, shifting, clutch control all are down (even if she kicks like a mule) Got a little more comfortable making a tight left U-Turn (though I still have a long way to go) and tried doing a right U-Turn a couple times (thank you Linbar) Very excited to ride tomorrow!!
Congratulations! No better feeling than that first ride. Have you taken any safe riders courses? Very helpful to all ages and levels of riders. Be safe, keep the rubber down.
Congratulations! I am jealous as I just bought a new Super Glide yesterday, paid for but I won't be back in town until March 4th so I won't be able to ride it until at least the 4th or 5th. (Now, I hope the wife understands when I bring it home.) Looking forward to the ride.

Congrats and please be sure not to ride above your comfort level. Take your time learning and before you know it, you will be riding like a pro.
+ another 1. I took the MSF basic rider course (which also tests you at the end and waives your road test here in NY state), and it was worth every penny of the $275 it cost me. They taught me a lot of stuff that I didn't know before, even though I'd been riding for 5+ years. Plus it was fun throwing around the little Honda Rebel 250cc P.O.S. that I took the course on. I was throwing sparks from scraping the pegs around every corner and my instructor told me to keep doing it and just have fun.
Baby steps brother. Remember to ride at your level. I used to ride rockets and never realized how much more fun it is to ride a Harley. One of the many beautiful things about riding a Harley is that even at low speeds or standing still, you still get to hear and feel that beautiful big V-twin. Be safe out there!
Don't push it and keep your wits. My brother lives out there and hates the traffic. Enjoy the ride but watch the speed and turns. You will get there in plenty of time. WOW we all sound like dads!
Kewl!!! Im bringing the bike home tomorrow.... Tempting to ride with all the nice weather but i'll wait! Its been years since i've rode so im doing the riders course too....
Congrats and be careful riding! We had to take the riders course in the military and it was sooooooo worth it. You'll learn alot and it will help your driving maturity.
