Default Chrome switch covers

Probably the dumb question of the day but how do you get the stock switch caps off.? Tried last night but was unable to, any help would be great..Thanks Brian

used a pocket knife to pry the caps off after completely removing them from the housing

prostar that's what I was wondering, if we had to take completly apart. So I'll have to take out that little screw out to get completly apart,thank you much.

If I may ask, would you please post up your observations and details concerning putting the chrome switches on. I don't have a whole heck of a lot of things left I can chrome, but switches are one of those things. I would like to hear what kind of a job I'm in for. Instructions only tell so much of the story. Thanks.

i did mine and i have to say it took alot of time if you know a jewler in the family that would help it has to come all apart but looks great and a whole lot cheaper than buying new ones and buy the way no one can tell there just covers

I thought the biggest part of the whole deal was the throttle cable, routing the wires in exactly the same path, and using a piece of cardboard to keep the front brake plunger from being engaged.

I did mine and my wife's covers and switch caps in a couple of hours. Of course, the second one was also done much faster. If you are thinking of changing grips, change them at the same time for less work. Also, if you plan to change mirrors, you should also do it then as well.
