Default Wheels and Rotor Replacement Question

Just got my PM Torque rotors, 4 week back order, and am ready to tackle this project.

I'm taking my new Metzeler tires and PM wheels and getting them mounted and balanced at Cycle Gear. Once that's complete, it's just a matter of putting the new rotors on each wheel, adding the old belt pulley, and pulling the old wheel setup and replacing with new. I am going from a 16 to an 18 in the back, front remains the same size.

On my '02 Lowrider, am I going to need anything additional in terms of spacers, etc.? Or will it be a simple swap? Also, should the rotor and pulley be placed on the tires before or after balancing, or does it matter?

Thanks.

First word of advice would be to have them use dyna beads in the wheels so you dont have to have those ugly wheel weights on those shiney new wheels. Then you wont have to worry about having the pulley and rotor on for balancing, I had dyna beads put in my new PM wheels and have no issues whatsoever... Replaced the weights on my wifes bike with them and she said it made a significant difference at high speeds... As for spacers the OEM ones will work but while you got it apart might as well go chrome, small investment compared to what you paid for your wheels.

Thanks KY. I forgot to mention that I did order the Dyna Beads and they should be here any day. Cycle Gear didn't sell them, but I wouldn't think that they would have any issue putting them in when fitting the tire to the wheel.

To your point, may go with the chrome spacers as well.

One other question in regard to the pulley. I'm assuming that the red loctite was used when it was put on. I'd say this might be the only real 'challenge' out of the entire project in getting the screws cracked to pull off.

Not only spring for new chrome spacers, but get all new chrome bolts for the rotors & pulley too. PM torque wheels kick ***!

What size rear tire and how wide of a wheel did you get?
