I scuffed mine up with sandpaper and then wrinkle coated it black with rattle can from auto parts store (just followed directions on the can). I have read where others have done the same but used self etching primer before painting. I wasn't aware of the primer at the time, but we'll see how long it lasts like this. No problems as of yet. Thinking of doing the belt guard next.
. . . Have you notice the horn being affected at all by the engine vibration or is it all good? Obviously that position vibrates like a **** so just wondering if you have noticed any negative affects on the horn from the vibrations? Also, Have heard its loud, which in Miami is a must with all these crazy cagers, but whats your feedback on the sound/loudness? Thanks
DMF - I've had the horn on for about a year and a half now and haven't noticed any degradation. It'll still get a cager's attention PRONTO!
I had a walo, it quit working so I got the Harley air horn. I've had some problems with the wire connector comeing lose. Other than that it will make a kid with a getto blaster wet his pants. I like the noise, It's chrome so it sont look to bad but it can honk.
I bought a derby cover of this guy on e-bay and I love it nice work as well I do plan on buying a horn cover from him as well bu I have to figure out what I want...
