Default Super Fat Glide Custom Project

What do you get when you take one 2010 FXDC and add a healthy dose of Fat Bob, Wide Glide parts and even the odd Fat Boy item and stir well. I'm calling it my Super Fat Glide Custom project. It started out as a very stock FXDC and I had added:

  • HD Rigid mount sissy bar with Kuryakan Rack
  • HD "touring seat
  • 2009 FXDL bars
  • HD Touring shocks (54565-09) 12.5" OAL
  • Memphis Shades Del Rio
  • Samson Powerflow II 2 into 1
  • Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1
  • TTS Mastertune
  • Custom Chrome Laydown taillight
  • GBG license bracket/Signal relocation Kit
  • HD front Signal relocation kit

I started off just wanting to add dual discs but ended up going with nearly a complete Fat Bob front end using the HD stinger wheels for the Fat Bob which I think makes ito into the FXDCF Super Fat Glide Custom with the addition of the following items

  • HD stinger front wheel - 3.5x18
  • Avon Cobra 130/79-18
  • HD Stinger rear wheel - 6.0x18
  • Avon Cobra 200/55-18 (measures 190mm)
  • HD Reaper billet drive pulley
  • HD vivid black brake rotors front and rear
  • 2nd front disc & caliper from Fat Bob
  • Fat Bob Fork Sliders on FXDC tubes
  • Chrome plated Fat Bob front fender
  • Ricor Iniminators
  • Satin black powder coated Fat Bob triple clamps
  • Fat Boy Lo risers
  • 2010 Wide Glide bars with internal wiring
  • HD Fat Bob 11/16" master cylinder
  • HD modular brake lines

Here's a few shots of the first phase, installing the new rear wheel. Having scoured the parts book I found that the FXDC and FXDF shared the same swingarm and all other rear end parts making the rear wheel a straight bolt on, albeit a tight fitting one as far as fender clearance goes, the last three shots show the fender and belt clearance with the wheel jacked up on blocks (shocks removed) farther than it will ever move with the shocks fitted so although the fender clearance is small (around 1/8" each side) it all fits no problem and really fills up the fender. More to follow, next up is the front end

Looks good. I'm anxious to see the finished product.

One side not though...seeing as how you have Wide Glide parts on it too, I think you should give the FXDWG a credit in the title. You could call it: "Super Wide Fat Glide Custom"...or perhaps just "Dyna *****" lol

Looks good from what we can see in the extreme close-ups Boy that belt is awfully close to the rear tire. Post up some more pics...

By the time you are done you will end up with half a bike's worth of spare parts. To bad Harley doesn't sell frame and engine kits for people like you so they can build a bike the way they want it.

Left over parts are the built in cost reduction plan for Harleys. You sell them to finance the next mod.
