Hey Guys... Ive got an 07 SB... bought it used and it had sampson ripsaws STOCK A/C and a SE tuner... Im wanting to do the "mud mod" on the AC but am not sure if I need to retune when I cut away the A/C cover... also how can I tell what the previous owner has done as far as what mapping they used?
ooh to see what the previous owner has in there for a tune you just need to DL the program to your PC and plug the bike in, you can see all the tables there, did the owner give you the cables and disk?
sweet thanks joe... now im assuming if I bump up to a K&N or something like then there would be a retune needed? and I have a CD and the actual small black module for the tuner (with serial in and out)... no cables though
if you got to a K&N with the stock AC you are fine. if you go to a stage 1 or other aftermarket AC you will ahve to adjust your map a bit but that is all

I would not say dooped... IMO the sert is a must have, even for a bone stock harley... dealer did a favor to the guy, assuming it was tuned properly of course.
yeah I dont think he has been duped... really dumb question though... it has the stock air cleaner cover on the bike... is it possible that he upgraded the aircleaner but used the stock cover still is that possible? I guess Im asking is there an easy way to figure out if he tossed a stage 1 air cleaner on it or not....

Yes it's possible a couple of aftermarket a/c are sold without cover to use with the stock one
