Proud owner of an FXD2003:

Now I know where my love for a H-D comes from....it is in my genes!

Found this image in my (late) Mom's photo archive, showing her and the bike my parents owned:

Any ideas what year and model this bike is? As far as I know this images origins late 1940's earley 1950's (I wasn't even born at that time!).

Cant's ask my Mom....your help is much appreciated!

Two great bikes, congratulations! Don't worry, one of the members of this forum will be able to answer your question if they read this thread.Actually if you post that picture in the off topic section and title it "Help me identify this old Harley" I'm certain you will get an answer.

I'm with you brother, it's in the blood! My brother, sister is looking into it, father, grandfather, uncle and other family have or do still ride but only Harley's. Nothing like it!

I have lots of pictures of Dad and Grandfather by their bikes. My uncle not only rode Harleys but rode Harley's in the second war. This is my dad, brother and I by our bikes. It's in the blood!

Rene, that is a 40s era WL 45" (750cc) flathead. I side of the tank is gas and the other is oil. Probably a 3 speed tranny. I have a friend with one.

Much obliged, Don!

Any chance this bike is a "civilized stay behind" from WWII Liberation Forces? If yes, next question would be: is it a WLA or a WLC......
