So after a few problems (mostly my ignorance) I got my easy brackets installed and did a short 20 mile ride.
Review: I dont know why all saddle bags dont just come this way It is so much easier than throwovers, simple on and off, no need to constantly adjust them, sturdy, they lock, looks clean with them off with no silly supports left behind. The tech support at easy brackets is pretty awesome I sent a nasty email to them thinking I had the wrong peices in my kit on a sunday, about 2 hours later I got a call from Bob their tech guy and he walked me through every peice its function and where it went until I was completely satisfied.
a little tip, if you have your fender covers off the "docking posts" stick out a little bit more than normal because they are made to slip inside of the fender cover holes about 1/4" but no big deal.
Yeah, mine rattled when empty, but I soon had some weight in them and the rattle stopped. Just a few tools in one side and some chaps and rain gear on the other side was all it took.
Now I carry a gas can, tools, rain gear, chaps, bungies, rope, manual, water bottle, rags, T.P. and whatever else I might find handy on the ride.
looks good I have a set with some smaller bags. I have some roadking bags sitting in the closet, which I need to install. With the roadking bags, I think I am going to have to add some extra support to the brackets.
there Hot leathers bags not sure what model, there pretty small but perfect for a weekend ride maybe up to 4 days and with my sissybar bag im confident I could get in a 10 day ride.
