Default polished stainless or chrome?

Hello, I'm going to be putting together a front 19" wheel on my 1999 FXDX. I would like to thank PHA-Q for hooking me up with a factory front rim!! The front wheel that came on my bike has a dent on the outer lip and bead area that makes the bike thump at about 35mph. I'm also finding out the spokes on it are too short. The ones I have measure 8" and are threaded into the nipples about 1/8th". I'm finding out they are supposed to be 8 1/4" long. I have a factory polished aluminum hub and a chrome rim. Should I go with polished stainless spokes or chrome spokes?? I'm looking to get them from JandP. Part number 200236 stainless and 2000035 for chrome. Any one have any experiance with these spokes?? Thanks Bob.

Me and the jerk, I mean JRK5892 ( couldn't pass that one up brother ) are on the same page on this one! Gotta go with the polished stainless steel .... they live forever .... don't have to worry about the chrome poppin' .... a little bit of time in the garage on a rainy afternoon with a bottle of your favorite brew ...er I mean polish ... and they are back to glistening in the evening sun just a flickin' and flashin' as you're puttin' down the highway with your sweetie on the back. Ain't that what it's all about brother? Remember to keep the shiny side up.

Spokes are under stress. Chrome + Stress = Cracking and chipping.
