Get some steel wool and a bucket of soapy water. The steel wool will remove alot of junk from your wheels with out damaging them. This will clean and somewhat shine them. Then you can get your metal polish out and finish the job. I had never cleaned mine in 2 years because they were so hard to get to. Came out looking very good and I did not even put metal polish on them... It also only took about ten minutes. I used a very fine finish steel wool from walmart...Hope this helps...
Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking of taking an SOS pad and some wheel cleaner to them. I'm thinking like some of you guys stated earlier why are these wheels not clearcoated.
I agree that they are a pain in the ***. I have tried everythig. The only polish that I have seen that works is FLITZ. It took all the black spots and oxidation off. AMAZING stuff
Slider what flitz products did you use .The alloy cleaner first and which polish, theirs a bunch of them.
I am gonna use meguairs all metal polish. I used it on the clutch and brake levers and they glow like chrome so I think it will work on any bad spots. I also have some Blue corral polish from about 15 years ago and it is crazy good polish.
