Question Should I be concerned?
I apologize if this is a rookie question, but i took off my pipes and upon inspection of the head there is some black soot. Almost like some incomplete combustion. I have a 2008 FXD and it runs perfect. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

There usually is some black soot in there....worry if its white soot!

Thanks fellas. Now any advice on how to get the new gasket to seat flush against the back?

Use a little copper grease on the gasket and ease it in gently. If it bends and gets a groove in it then its time to buy another .
