welcome aboard bud ! I'm fairly new on here myself but for what it's worth I bought a 2010 SG Custom last summer and I love it ! but either way you decide to go can't be a wrong choice. Welcome back to riding and enjoy the new purchase, let us know what you end up with....Roger
Test ride them both. Like yourself, I had a long time away from riding. The SGC just seemed like a better fit for me, so I bought a 2010 FXDC back in Oct. Good luck with your decision. Both are great bikes.
Dyna you won't go wrong. Basically it's what looks better to you. Seats, bars and most everything else are interchangeable.

I went with the Custom - I sat on both bikes and the Custom felt more "right" to me and the same went for riding them. You can't go wrong with either one. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
09 custom. both bikes are sweet. If you like the rake, 21 inch front tire, and a more blacked out look, get the wide glide. If you like chrome and a lower price tag, get the custom. You'll be a winner either way!
I rode the Super Glide Custom, the Wide Glide and a Fat Bob and all of them rode very well. I went with the SGC, because I just liked the look better. I just need the forward controls and exhaust and I'm set for a while.
I'm a little over 200 miles into it, but so far everything works well (kow). I'm quite impressed. I just need a nice long ride to really make it mine now.
Kuryakan ISO Grips w/ throttle boss and a form fitting license plate holder from same are the only two updates to mine so far.
