Starting to look for rear, possibly both, replacement tires. Dunlop not that bad, but hope to do better. 06 fxdi. I am aware of manufacturers and want to keep stock wheel, but stay fat and rain safe. Any suggestions.
I have an Avon Venom up front and just purchased the same for the rear though it's not on yet. I've read good things about them, but I think the Metzler 880 is the most popular tire. Check out americanmototire.com for pricing.

[sm=wtf.gif] How much narrower '06? I've never heard this before. Can you really see that much of a difference on your bike? Thanks. Tim
I've used a lot of tires over the years. The stock replacement Dunlops are OK. Nothing to write home about either way. I tried some Michelin COmmanders. Horrible tire; removed them before they wore out. Avone Roadrunners are my favorite. Good traction, smooth ride, and lasts about as long as the stock Dunlops.
i ran continetal blitz on sporty get bout 7 or 8k out of em.tried the blitz on 96 fxd got 4k out of it.dont know if it was the weight diff in bikes or what but only used 1 blitz on it

Looked at a lot of tires. Finally went with the Dunlop Screaming Eagle 180. Fit with no mods to my FXDLI except cutting the bolts off the bag mounts.
