+3 on the sand and paint...I had already placed mine on the scoot so instead of covering it up or pulling them off to use a rattle can I sanded the heads down then used automotive touch up paint and it seems to have worked well.

Seriously - the paint trick works well, or find a local coater & get them powdered (shock bolts - not your nuts).

Try this:

Two tablespoon's of cinnamon, and two or three egg whites.
A half a stick of butter?. Melted?
stick it all in a bowl. Stir it with a wooden spoon.
Mix in a cup of flour, you'll be in heaven soon.

Oh, wait, sorry you said black nuts and not chocolate *****!

Black epoxy paint is the **** is you're trying to paint your nuts. I've been using epoxy and a ton of parts; much more durable and only a buck more expensive per can.

i powder coated mine, used hot toppers and before that painted them with auto black touch up paint
