Had the cup holder on my Fat Bob, had a 20 oz water bottle fly out of it at 50 mph, it also got in my way for reaching the shifting peg. I ended up taking the thing off.
I'm not a big fan of that particular style of cup holder, ....I like the one I've used for years! It fits any size/style of container Know to man that could be used to deliver liquid refreshment.
I'm so use to it that I don't even have to look at it to retrieve a container, and raise it to take a drink.......Did I mention that it's attached to my wrist? LOL...
No thanks....No cup holders here. If you get that thirsty, ....then it's probably time to pull off and stretch your legs anyway....Just my $.02
Best wishes....Tim(HT)
How about a "Camelback"? that way you don't even have to take your hands off the bars...
ive got a cup holder on my 2012 switchback black it looks like it came with the bike love it and i dont wanna have to wear something on my back i get a little over 200 miles on a tank and dont wanna have to pull over to get a drink i had a heat stroke about 8 years ago so hydration is very important an living in louisiana 100 degre days are very common i say if you like it get it
If you want to be THAT comfortable, drive your cage...or get a goldwing.
Agreed, except when in the flats of anywhere at 100+ degrees needing to hydrate, it comes in handy. I've had 3 run-ins with kidney stones and have been informed mine are primarily dehydration caused. I'll take the ribbing and looks any day over one of those....

I passed a stone in about 18hrs and it was absolutely the most painful 18hours of my entire life, like someone had a sawsall cutting out my kidney.. Id paint my bike pink and wear a tutu, as long as I didnt have to go through that again..
A cup holder, Big deal, get one and a damn windshield........... I see all the cool ppl are out telling everybody else how stupid and uncool they are for the things they like.. guess they gotta feel better about themselves somehow... Who cares...
Pretty goofy looking on a Dyna but I've got a quick story:
I was riding with my Father-In-Law and a few of the "old guys" on their geezer glides. I was riding behind this guy I'd never met before on the freeway and he had the cup holder on his Ultra. We were going 80mph, he reached over, took his thermos out of the cup holder and put it to his lips. I was scared shitless! I thought he forgot I was behind him and coffee was gonna spray back and scald my face. To my surprise, no spray back, cup was super secure and held on tight in the twisties.
Honestly kind of a cool thing. I'd never do it, but that's one less thing to stop for. Now if they can just get a fold down tray table we'd be all set...
