diffrence in front ends

so my cousin just wrecked his fat bob. hes just gonna part it out along with his 96 springer. whats the diffrence between the 06+ and 96-05 dyna front ends(stem size, leanght etc.) and softail. can either go on my 01 low rider without much problems? i searched but i cant really find anything.

06+ is 49mm. 05 and below is 41mm / 39mm.

You'd have to make sure your trail is within the safe range (4"-5"). More than that and you run the risk of a very poor handling motorcycle.

That's the only difference? If that's the case I'm just gonna find a 48 or fat bob print end and slap it on.
