After reading this forum and a lot of thought, I bought a vivid black Street Bob. It will arrive on November 10th and I'll pick it up on the 11th. This will be my 7th bike, in the 14 years since I started riding again. Now for the age old question, what do I add on first?
Welcome to the forum Dusty...So many mod's, where to begin can be a tough choice. It's entirely up to you though. Whatever is the most important thing to you is the place to start. If you want volume...pipes, if you want more HP...stage 1 and pipes, if you want comfort...a seat or better shocks, if you have 3-4K to spend...order everything you want and start wrenching.
No matter where you start, be sure to post pics of your progress. It's always fun to see another bike evolve and it helps to spur more inspiration.
First mod would be to buy a larger wallet!!! You will need the space for the extra money you will need to start getting your modes. Ha Ha Seriously though, Congrads on the steed, enjoy, ride safe and keep the rubber on the road.
You should also do the 3in tank lift. I did to my vivid black bob and it changes the whole lines. The cost ranges from 15 to 30 clams but worth it. Rudedog makes them, you can make them or J&P cycle. Stage 1 is also a must IMO. I am a younger rider so the seat didn't bother me.lol After 3800 mi its pretty good. I pushed the bars forward more, added grips, braided lines, smoked lenses, and the stage 1. Take a look at my album. It is very basic upgrades but i love the look after. Next i want a dif headlight, fender rack, and a ridgid sissy bar setup. It is almost a never ending process. As soon as you get the look you want, you find more to add. Safe ridding and enjoy the best bike the MoCo makes!!
