First mod would be to buy a larger wallet!!! You will need the space for the extra money you will need to start getting your modes. Ha Ha Seriously though, Congrads on the steed, enjoy, ride safe and keep the rubber on the road.

I agree with that..LOL My first choice was pipes, gotta hear that baby running. Only thing that sounds better than a Harley is a woman moaning in extasy just mho on that.

Congrates on your new Bob, I have the 2006 Vivid Black. I love this bike like crazy. I ride a lot in most any weather and would suggest you start with the seat. Power is not a problem for the Bob it pulls me in and out of traffic and the highway with ease. I am 5’10 ½ and 210 pounds. If you need time to save up more money for the exhaust, then of course some cosmetic changes that make it more you. The pipes, air cleaner and jetting will be a nice touch to finish with. IMO comfort first and my previously aching butt would agree. I love the cosmetic look that I have given my bike and love to show it off. In the next few months I will change the pipes and make sure I am getting the maximum performance out of the bike. Power is there and plenty with out it though.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and the advice. Being the old dude that I am, comfort will probably be first on my list. Then some cosmetic touches. Power is probably good enought for me as is, just so it can hit 90 on the highway. Speed doesn't intrigue me like it did when I was younger. Well, I guess I better start saving a little more money, I mean a lot more.

Don

Gratz on your Bob! I also have an 07 Vivid Black ( is there any other color? ) Street Bob and I absolutley Love it ! The 1st thing I did to Mine was add Adjustable Highway Pegs. I'm 6' and I didnt like the way my legs felt on the Mid controls, felt like My ole Sportster did. But with it Id put my feet on the rear pegs . I like to stretch out and for $120 it was well worth it . Second Mod was Kuryakyn Grips and Foot Pegs. Third was a Luggage rack to tote my Lunch on to and fro work. Other than that there will be no other Mods other than the possible 3" tank lift and a Sundowner Seat. Although the stock seat isnt that bad - but could still be changed .Im like you actually - Im 46 and the Bob's got plenty of power/speed for me and the Pipes arent that bad. Im just so damn scared that the dealer will void my Warranty if something goes wrong like Ive read on countless threads involving Pipes/AC/PC-SERT issues. Even if the bastards put the crap on they wont cover it. Until My extended warranty runs out in 2012 My Bob Stays Stock Guess Im just a Puss Grats again Dustydon and welcome to the forum!! YOUR GONNA LOVE YOUR BOB!!

Well since winters comin up, you dont need a heater, you already have one under your seat. Put a stage 1 on it....pipes, filter and power commander or the like. Youll dig it. I know I dig mine. Congrats
