competition keeps these kind of problems to a minimum....when there is a lack of competition in town, the dealer tends to get a big head and wants to tell YOU, the customer, how thigns are going to be.

Local dealer here won't mount a tire unless you buy it from them.
Dealers are really a PITA.
I do my own wrenching but have tires mounted by a shop. If an Indy is available that can do it without scratching the wheel up, I go with them.

dealers are usually so friggin' clueless its unreal. bike looks kick *** bro... but its screeeeaming for ape hangers!!!!!

After taking my bike to two different local dealers in the past, I will never take it back to a dealer again. Sometimes I think they just don't want to do the work. And I'm certain they didn't even bother going over the 10k maintenance required when I took my bike in. I told them to do everything but the fluids (which I changed myself). The steering head bearing was obviously loose...they told me it was fine. Bet they didn't even check. I ended up doing it myself, which I should have done in the first place.
