Im new to HD, but have written a lot of tunes on FI ATVs (mostly Can-AM). I just got an 06 Superglide Custom with the SE intake and V&H Short Shots. Seems like it has a lot of power, but of course, I want to squeez a little more out of it. I assume it has the SE download for the intake and pipes...I bought it used. The guy who owned it before me seemed to take good care of it and has customized it with chrome, bars, forward controls, grips and pegs, etc... Will the "canned tunes from Fuel-Moto improve performance much from the SE Download. I will eventually put in bungs and custom tune it.
If you want to get into more sophisticated tuning, especially for street smoothness, and the bike has O2 sensors, then a much better tuning tool for the HD is the TTS tuning kit. Just saying that your option is not limited to the PC products, but if all you want is quick cheap and dirty power, the PCs will do that for you.
If you like to tinker and get the most out of the HD, check out The TTS kit for your toolbox.,
In fact, it is a better tool even if you don't have the sensors (the PCs don't use them)... just more functions are available with the sensors.
The PC is far from allowing you unlimited possibilities, although good for what it does, making power cheap, it is way limited.... and you need a dyno to get the most out of them.... not so important if you just want to ride.
