Default MXT-Bar lift?

08 FXDB with MXT-Bars (12")

I think these may be too short and was thinking about making a block extension of 2" to see how it fit me but couple of concerns...

The Westcoast MXT-Bars have a pretty aggressive angle to them and that cannot be altered like you can with apes, obviously. Does anyone know if the angles are the same between the 12" and 14" MXT? My fear is making a 2" block and finding out that it doesn't work because the bars are too close now. Thanks

IS the problem that the bars are too low/angled wrong or that the reach is too far?

I'd try some risers bushes that have an offset to them (pushing the bars further away from you )

The reach is great IMO

Due to being hit while on my old SV650 in 2012, my shoulder has comfort zones and discomfort zones.

Currently, it feels like its in a non-comfort zone sometimes and wondering if by raising it 1" to 2" may move it into a comfort zone without any negative effects. So I was thinking of making a temporary riser out of some steel plates (probably use two going across from left to right since I have access to a drill press) and see how my shoulder feels.

Just didn't know if anyone on here had any insight seeing as every question I had in the past has been answered here LOL

Sounds like spacers is the way to go.

I have 1" risers on mine from DK Custom, WC Tbars sells similar also.

So if 2" is too high, cut it down to 1"? Or make a 1" block and 2" block and see which feels better? I don't see the issue here.

Yeah, angles are the same, just different rider lengths.
