windshield glare
I ride a '11 streetbob, with quick release windshield. At night I get the reflection of the speedo light on the upper windshield. Anybody else have this problem, it's right in the field of view. Also, can you rain x the shields?

A good coat of wax,(I use Turtle Wax) will make the rain bead up and slip off as good as rain-X. as for the glare; My speedo & Tach are up on the bars, (No worry). However, I did experience a lot of glare off the headlamp & passing lites at night. So, I installed trim rings on them with "eyebrows". That seemed to help a lot.

My FXDC has the sport w/s which reflected the headlight until I made up a mask from black nylon webbing and taped it around the w/s's headlight opening. Also taped a portion of the turn signal bezels so they would not shine directly in my eyes.
Your w/s might be too tall for you; it should be a couple inches below line of sight.

It says so right on the box! It will craze/eat the plastic so that you can't see thru it. I work in an auto parts store, have warned people while buying it and seen many a dumb *** use it anyhow!

Ive never used rain'x on a windshield but have used it several times on my full face visor without noticing any ill effects. Ive heard a lot of good things about Plexus... Ive never tried it because it freaking expensive. Theres another product that comes in a white squeeze bottle (blue label) thats suppose to eliminate the rainbow effect caused from sunlight (sorry, cant remember the name). A friend swears by it
