I contacted Bub to see if they planned to produce the pipe in stainless steel, would not need a finish, They said "not at this time". Maybe if more people expressed an interest they would.
I sold one to one of my regulars for his FXR and it sounds killer. He painted it with high temp paint and wrapped it himself to keep it cheap and it looks great. Now I want one...

Odd question, but how would you explain the sound? lol
I want something much louder than what I have, the slip ons are too quiet for me and barely even bark with a twist of the throttle.
it should sound just like the lakester ( same muffler) and theres a couple soundclips on here... i have the lakester.... nice low rumble,,, loud whe you romp on it... not as loud as the rineharts i had but to me it just sounds better, meaner lol
If you are looking for pure volume, this isn't your pipe. If you want a beast sound with the right volume and superb ground clearance, this IS your pipe.
Screw it, I'm gonna get one. I know it will be better than what I have. I'm gonna go heat shields instead of wrap though, I love the wrapped look, but I think the heat shields will go better with the clean look I have going on my bike.
Ok fellas, honest opinions needed. Take a look at my bike in my sig pic. Would you go with black header wrap or black coated heat shields? I think the heat shields would keep my bike looking clean and sleek, but header wrap might give it a bit of a "gangster" vibe haha
