I was thinking about this pipe for awhile. i hear exhaust wrap can cause the metal in your headpipe to weaken and break because the pipe holds in too much heat . anyone know about this . ? I agree they look badass but if it breaks your pipe its not worth it. Keep updates going so I can make up my mind lol.. thanks for posting pics.
Not really happy with the customer service from Holeshot.
I placed my order for a set totally raw because they wanted something like $250 extra for painted and wrapped...
I put a deposit down and they were supposed to call me when they got them in, so I could pay the balance.
Pipes show up on my door without me talking to them.
They are painted black and wrapped. I wanted them raw. I have access to fairly cheap powder coating and that is the direction I wanted.
I talk to them, they want the rest of their money and are sorry about the mixup, offer to let me keep the painted and wrapped for the price of the raw... send me the balance of the bill.
They tacked on $31 for sales tax. Sale took place before the California law changed, but if they have to, they have to... I'm just not real sure.
They charged $76.32 for shipping. Now using the info on the shipping label I looked up on UPS and it should have cost them $32.79. I can't see how they had any cost in packing materials because it looked like they shipped them to me in the same box they came in from Bub.
So far not a great experience.
***UPDATE***
After I questioned the shipping they changed it to $23.20, said they confused my order with another.
Somewhat better. If I had to do it over I would just order from bub's...

That sucks dude. Sorry for your troubles, I have once again decided to get this pipe and am going to powder coat the muffler and flameproof and wrap the head pipes to save money. I will make sure to order from West End, $399 to my door.
Check it out, looks like BUB hiked the price to 418.95 and these pipes also seem to be unavailable everywhere, I sold my tank and now that I want to order of course I can't!
