Electrical fluster cuck
been searching forums for a while and haven't found a specific answer related to this.
Installed aftermarket turn signals on front and rear a few weeks ago, and ever since then, whenever I hit the blinkers, the key illuminates on the dash. (2001 low rider). Lights all function properly, attempted to access diagnostic codes but all I get is the xxx1clr - xxx10clr, dont recall the letters off hand, its late here, and PPM, and then a number like 87623 after that. Nothing blinks, nothing is selectable, and I cant get to any further information or anything, All it does is scroll through this list. When I access the menu, speedo twitches, nothing else. Any ideas, or am I just FUBAR?
Only electrical modification was the lights, and I used the pre-existing harness as it was wired. All fuses good, although I blew the 15's that are in it, ended up increasing size, but that was after replacing horn. Im seeing a trend, the more I do the more is jacked up.
on an apparently unrelated note, Fuel gauge has always been off half a tank. it indicates 2.5 gallons perfectly. I always figured it was a float issue, but upon inspection of the float arm and such all seems fine.

Putting larger fuses in on a circuit that was rated for 15 amp is a good way to burn up your bike... The wire is sized for the device its feeding... When reading codes make sure you have the run switch on...
The load equalizer will take care of the issue with the security light coming on. As for the fuel level being off, I don't think that is related to the turn sig issue.
