anyone got 1/4 mile time with a stock 96ci or stage one? tracks not open here yet. thanks ric
You'll soon find out that most Harley riders here don't care about 1/4 mile times, top speeds, handling or ergos and you'll get flamed for asking.
Which apes? How do I lower my bike?, and "what looks best for my bike?" are the areas of concern here.
In answer to your question, or rather to not answer your question...I never got timed when my bike was stock or stage 1, but I do have the equipment now, and the desire, to time my recent build.
When you do make it to the track, let us know your numbers and the mods done. Some of us would like to know.
Its going to be REALLY tough to get a nailed down answer. Just so many "Pee Wee Gleason" type of variables. I raced my Buell pretty regularly at Virginia Motorsports park. Even went a few rounds and won a few races. Most of the stock-ish Dyna Twin Cams ran mid to low 13's and a couple beefed up rides went well into the 12's. Just going on memory here but the stockers seemed to trap just in the triple digits and the hot rods were 106-112 mph. I can't attest to just how stock the stockers really were, since at a stip no one ever tells the truth.
