Default Wheel Protectorant

What products do you guys use for a wheel protectorant? I have a new FXDF and want to get something on there from the start.

Back when I bought my 98 Sportster the mags were really grimy . I tried everything and could get them cleaned up.

Bought another set of wheel and a spare rear sprocket and dropped them off at a place called Metal Masters, had them bead blasted and mirror polished on the flats....Wheel looked great and a heck of an improvement.

On leaving the guy asked me what I was going to do about he cast areas. I told him just keep them clean. he told me I should seal them with something as the rough cast areas just suck up grime and would look the same in time.

I bought Dulicolor Wheel Paint, Primer and Sealer for the rough areas on the spokes and they turned out great and still looking great with very little maintenance.

I use this on my bike and car:

The wheels on my bike do not have any unpainted areas...they are black on the inner spokes and bare aluminum elsewhere. I use Wheel Armour all over the wheel and it does a good job removing spots and stains and makes washing really easy as the road grime washes off very easily.

It goes on and off very easy too.

From research on this forum I found a product that was highly recommended from Chemical Guys(I have no association with the company). I have used it the past two years with very good results, one coat at the beginning of the season lasts for the entire riding season here (about 8 months). As advertised they do not seem to get as dirty as they did before I started using the product. Here's the link:

Question Wtf?

What, exactly is "protectorant"?
Is that when someone goes on a rant about some tire PROTECTANT that dried out their rubber like, say, Armor All?
Or is it an ant that has taken on the responsibility of protecting something or somebody? Personally I'd want something a little bigger protecting me or my stuff.

Since I said WHEEL I am not quite sure why you are talking about rubber and tires. You know exactly what I was asking.

As to everyone else, thank you for the replies.
