So I have some questions for guys that have done wide glide conversions or rake changes to Superglides. I want to change to a Wide Glide width, and add some rake to the front of the bike. I really would like to find a way of doing this with say 3-4 eg trees and 3 degree cups, yet retain all mty stock brakes etc. additionally change to a 21" frt wheel. I figure with 6-7 deg total added rake to the front and a 21" wheel I wouldn't have to add any length to the forck tubes. Am I correct in these measurements?
I have been considering doing the 3 deg cups and find a take off front end off say a Softail that has a 21" wheel but keep my fender and brakes. Is this a possability? I know spacers would be needed for the fendder not sure about mounting my brakes in this. Any help is appreciated I am more used to cutting, welding and fabricating instead of bolt on but time and space to do this is an issue these days.
Thanks for any help.
