Default She's Home!! Finally!! But.....

no keys!! My bike was delivered today and everything went well until I asked for my keys. They didn't have them. Thankfully the ignition was unlocked. They say that HD forgot to send the keys when they shipped the bike to the dealer...can you believe that?? Can't lock it or anything. I'll be sleeping in the garage HAHAHA

Anyways, I did break it in some today. I love it. Someone said the sporties were fast and that the dyna are not as fast but they were wrong. I had my 1200 sporty with stage 1 and pipes done and I got mine going today just as fast. Hit 115 mph today with more throttle but traffic was in front and had to slow down. It is super fast, super pick up, I love it.

So without further ado, I've attached the pics. The only thing I have done so far was quick detach windshield, windshield bag, saddle bags, Willie G shifter, large ISO pegs and chrome taillight and license plate cover. Highway pegs for mine and wife's bike are on order. I also have a pair of cycle shack slip ons waiting to be picked up and installed.

So you've got 106 miles on the iso and already hit 115 mph? What happened to a break in period?

If they never sent keys with it from the factory I would have asked them to have some keys cut to me that would have been unacceptable are they willing to cover the cost of the bike if it gets ripped off??? that's just my $0.02

I guess at the same point you did get your bike and get to ride it at least but...

If you look on the speedo it's KM not miles and to the OP did you hit 115km/hr or mph being you live in Canada on the east coast

115mph is 185 km/h

106 KM is 65.865 Miles so a short ride

Usually people tell you a Sportster will out accelerate a Dyna (though not necessarily true with the 96ci bikes). I don't think anyone would say a Sportster (with a 5 speed trans) would have a higher top speed than a Dyna (with a 6 speed trans).

Nice FXDC! Same model/color I went with. Enjoy. As far as the keys go...hopefully you'll get those soon enough. At least you're riding now.
