What are the exact differences in a Super Glide front end and a Wide Glide front end? Length difference? Rake difference? I have an 06 FXDCI and was wondering what a Wide Glide front end would do for me. Thanks.
-Marc
The Wide Glide forks sit farther apart in the triple tree. Putting one on your bike would give you forks that are set farther apart. They are also a little longer because th Wide Glide has more rake from the factory.
jmpancoast-Looks Good! Are the stock WG trees 3 deg. rake, or did you order them that way? What did you do to chrome the lowers? Is that a 21" wheel? How did you have to modify the fender? Sorry about all the questions. That is the look I like. Just trying to figure out what I need to do. How much is the rear lowered?

These were aftermarket trees. I ordered them 3 degrees. As mentioned, stock WG trees have 2 degrees rake in them. The lowers are the Harley chrome sliders for the 06 and later WG. The wheel is a stock WG 21". I used my stock fender with 3/4" spacers on each side.
Search "WG" under my name. I have a thread with a lot of info.
Cool. Thanks! Any difference in handling? Good or bad. Looks like this is what I'm gonna do. Just order the 3 deg. trees, chrome sliders, 21" WG wheel/tire...and use stock fork tubes. Oh yeah. Fender spacers.
