Hey I just want to make a fast survey on how much km or miles you can do on a tank.
As I think my mileage is pretty bad that's why I ask. Around 250 km with few highway
How big is your tank? If you get 250 km on a tank, that's about 155 miles. Today I got 40 mpg, so if I filled up on fumes I could get around 200 miles (or 320 km) on a tank.
Too many variables.. how you ride .. speed .. terrain (mostly up hill?) .. even whether or not you were going into a strong head wind.
Also, what mods are done on your bike? When my bike still had everything factory stock - intake, exhaust, etc. I was getting between 48 and 51 mpg in combined city / highway use. AND this was during the break in period.. so I was being gentle with it.
I just got my bike back with all the mods done (for now), and notably I have the stage 1 intake done + V&H short shots + dyno... With this set up, I am expecting mpg to go DOWN.. probably into the mid 40's range.
So at 45 mpg for example, with a 4.7 gallon tank, that would give me about 211 mile range... but that's the point where I would be out of gas... so I should probably stop at about 170 to 180 miles for a fill up.
2011 FXDB with TOURING WINSHIELD pressently bone stock with 1100 easy miles averaging 37-40 around town = about 180 mi bone dry but the tank will not hold 4.7 gal and if you're counting on that you'll be walking, 43-47 on the open road at 65-70. You will not be able to make between gas stations on HWY 375 in Nevada. Sure less than I expected. Also vibrates quite a bit for a rubber mount.
Here in south ga / north florida on mostly flat roads with a 5.1 gallon tank on my fxdc with stage 1 kit and se exhaust I get between 180 -200 denpending on how I ride.
