awesome execution on the bike. Obvioulsy it's your preference but i would leave the exhaust as is. Every dx seems to have 2-1 black thunderheaders or similar and many have the tall t-bars. while it's a good look, i think your pipes are really cool looking and different than the other blacked out dx's out there. And as for those shocks i'd leave 'em too; it's a huge part of what makes a DX what it is.
so i guess im who your talking about? i have a blacked out fxdx with lowerd rear end and front end, in my opinion with the progressive suspension it handles better than before, and it was black before black was COOL.
Very nice! I like what you've done, a 2-1 exhaust would look good. I have the same year FXDX, I found mine on Craigslist a couple years ago and you've given me lots of ideas on how to spend more money.

oh and by the way nice fxdx
agree he did a great job with his dx, though IMO I think his license plate bracket is a bit big for that fender.
As for Maryland talking about your bike... I think he was talking about fxdx owners with 2-1 black thunderheaders and tall T-bars. When I look at yours it has 2-2 pipes and ape hangers. Nice way to get your bike in the conversation though.
Thanks again guys. Everybody seems to love the mufflers except me! LOL, I'm currently trying to budget some money for a BUB RAW-1 pipe. I will have the pipes for sale when I do so. Also will have the stock Aztec Orange tank for sale and the stock spoked wheels, as soon as I get around to getting some pics of them.
As far as the Cycle Visions Eliminator being too big, I kind of agree, but short of more custom work, I'm fine with it. I think it looks a lot better than the stock setup.
And I will probably end up being a "tall t-bar" FXDX lol, these bars look amazing on the bike, but are too low for me, I need higher rise on long rides. Probably going to go with 8" straight rise T-bars.
looks like from your sig pic that you have a different tail light set up or is it just me? How much do you have in the tank swap?
Tail light setup is the same as in the pics above, Sig pic is actually the same picture as the first pic in the post above.
Tank swap was roughly $450 + paint. That includes the FXDL tank which was hard to find but I got a really good deal on ($160 with no damage to tank, just needed paint), Tank console and bracket which was even harder to find, Fuel Gauge, Fuel sending unit, and FXDL indicator light console. Most parts were bought off ebay or here on the forums classified.
