What happened to the Dyna Line?

I love the look of the Wide Glide and when I went out to buy my bike in '09 they dropped it from their lineup. I inquired and nobody could tell me if I waited a year that the WG would return. I am very happy with my FXD and I really couldn't beat the price, brand new I paid $11k with factory alarm, forward controls and chrome inner and outter primaries. My buddy got into a 1200 custom for around $10k. So for the $1k price difference I am happy to have the FXD. I should have gone with the custom because I have dumped approximately $1500 into this bike and I would have got those options stock on the custom.

They only offer the Street Bob Fat Bob and Wide Glide over here at the moment, if I was buying a new bike I think Id have a new Fat Bob,then mod it to my likes...but I cant quite get the urge to buy a new bike, over here (UK) they have gone up so much...so Im keeping my immac 97 Wide Glide, which here is about the least seen model around.
In their time the WGs were just too expensive (here at least) people would rather spring a few quid more and buy a Softail, Im glad they did, as now I have a (fairly) unique bike.

I think the market has changed. Baggers have become a status symbol and people that have money buy pimped out baggers (parked in their 4 car garage next to their boat, SUV, golf cart.) Younger people just getting into it buy Sportsters because it's affordable.
The Dyna is kind of a working mans bike and in this economy the blue collar guys have taken a hit so the Dynas sit on the showroom floor.
