Question Foot pads with heel pegs

Hello All, I am a new rider and purchesed a new 2010 Wide Glide. I'm 6'4" and needed the foward controls. I even had the 3" extenders installed (Kuryakyn). My question is if I install new foot pads with heel pegs will the pegs be to low and bottom out on easy turns. I hope there's someone who can help me. Thanks

I used to run the set-up that you are suggesting, with the extended Kury's, and the heel rests did not drag. It's a different story now with the floorboards, they do drag at times.

I don't have the extenders, but my switchblade heel rests can drag at times on hard turns. Don't worry about it and wear it as a badge of honor.

I got Kury pegs with stirrups and they are more comfortable for me (I am 6'2") and they do not ground, unlike my heels which dragged big time before the stirrups came along.

I have the exact set up that you are talking abouton my 2011 Wide Glide. I extened my controls 3 ins, and have heal rests. I have had not problem with them hitting. I have scraped my lower exhaust pipe, but never my controls.

I have the same setup also.. makes for an extremely comfortable ride that I wouldn't trade for anything. Like @paratigger said, I scrape the exhaust on a real aggressive turn to the right.

I have maybe 3 times I can remember had the heel rest on the left bump the ground when turning left aggressively. This is not a common problem for me though.

I would like to have heel rest but as it is now I'm scraping my heels with the stock pegs. I would guess for taller riders that would be easy to do. Just my 2 cents.
