Heel rests and pegs allow you to stretch out for sure. I didn't have them for about the first 10 months on My bike...when I put the pegs on...OMG...what a total difference on long rides! You won't be sorry!

I put on the HD (long) 3-way adjustment pegs and this allows me to put my heel on the board and toes on the peg. I also like them down low when I just want to put my feet on the pegs only. This gives at least 3 different foot positions and on long trips this is a plus. See the pic.

Just make sure you get some with more RUBBER surface area than chrome surface area, otherwise your feet will slip off........not good. I have some by Kuryakyn and they work great. I scored them on ebay at a slightly discounted rate.

On my Dyna with forward controls, I use these. HD part # 50227-01. No more blowing my feet off the pegs and very comfortable on longer hauls. Not sure if they'll work on all highway pegs
