Earplugs not necessary with a batwing and a Klock windscreen. My setup almost blocks too much air.

Fullface is smart.....but I wnat the wind in my face. Block it all, might as well drive a car.

in-between helmets right now.....currently using a half-lid that's needs replacement...currently shopping for another.

i usually wear a novelty german style helmet when im wearing a helmet, for around the town cruising, and short rides i usually just wear a beanie or hat to keep my hair from going all over the place.

i know its unsafe, but if im riding with my buddies and i see a few dont wear helmets i dont feel as bad not wearing one

when its cold out ill wear an icon full face that i had a few years ago with my streetbike.

CT doesnt have helmet laws so maybe 7 out of 10 riders arent wearing helmets (especially cruisers) so it becomes kind of normal seeing no helmets on everybody

I'm now thinking of finding a carbon fiber half helmet sense after that horse crap FF experience 1/2 is the only way to go so better get the best and it won't look like a mushroom on my head. Outlaw seems like a good choice now only if I can find one in stock.

I have ridden for 40 years and I still like to ride em like I stole em when I can. Mostly offroad or adventure or something sportier than my HD FatBob so I feel a bit naked without having riding gear on..... so unless I've have let something influence my better judgment I wear a helmet... for the FatBob I have gotten a 3/4 with one of the cop type visors on it. This works OK for little short rides at lower speeds but creates a lot of windnoise and it feels like it catches more wind then my full face helmet. Rode to Daytona this year, 1300 miles, and the 1st day until late and we hit some light rain I had the "Biker" helmet on but at the last gas stop I took the full face out fo the bag and put it on... it was like a new ride, much quieter and less drag. I didn't put the other one back on except for short drives around Daytona.

Occasionally I will ride without a helmet if I'm feeling stupid, or have been drinking, or I look at other "Bikers" and see them not wearing helmets and a brain fart makes me think that somehow since they ride without one that this will protect me if I have a little low side hitting some gravel and my head plops down onto the curb at 10 mph from 6 feet high like a watermelon. Usually though I soon realize most of those "Bikers" are probably actually the Doctors & Lawyer Biker wannabees that worry about what other people think and that my head would actually just do like a watermelon and burst when smacked onto a hardsurface so I pull my head back out of my a$$ and wear a helmet again until next moronic experience.

Around Town Profiling ---3/4 helmet, **** Spike optional

Distance Speed real riding ... Full-Face helmet... $100 head $100 Helmet $1000 Head $1000 Helmet... Graphics don't count so calculate using a simple white/black. Helmets are like building motors though the return on $$ diminishes as you go up the scale. To me a sweet spot is around the $200-300 range

"Biker Mode" ... boozing and head up my A$$ Brain Fart = NO helmet

AFX Rebel half helmet. The only thing I could find with the rebel flag on it.

The thing I find most funny / annoying is that most people will bust a guy's ***** for having a windshield but then I see all these people wearing a FF.

I wear Headtrip 1/2 and I use a windshield for night riding or when I want to block the wind...FF don't give me much of a thrill on the b ike.

What I really can't stand to see is a guy wearing a FF AND having a windshield on a sunny day!! We will forgive him it it's under 40°. Honestly, he must just be using the bike for commuting (40+ mpg) and not for it's real purpose!
